I was born and raised in Southern California with stints in the Philippine Is. where my parents had a business. I attended the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach where II was introduced to watercolors by Roger Armstrong. That was the stepping off point. From there I created my own way of mastering the medium. I feel my watercolors at this point combine elements of realism with contemporary and Asian influences. In the last 2 years since moving back to the Santa Ynez Valley I have taken up landscapes in oils and figurative work. I continue to study with new people as I feel you can always broaden your experience. Since 1985 I have been accepted into many juried shows and have won competitions. I was also a member of the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach for 7 years. Recently I was juried into the Santa Barbara Art Association, Goleta Art Association, Las Padres Watercolor Society and the Artist Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley. This workshop is a way to explore the wonderful world of watercolor, share my knowledge and support your endeavors as an artist. I am passionate about what I do and view it as a wonderful gift. I live and work at Casacostaplenty with my husband Michael and our 1 remaining dog, Sarah. Christine's work can be seen on display at:
